WHO WE ARE

We are people, data, and AI advocates who are approaching organizational data & AI literacy with intention so that we can empower everyone read, work with, and communicate with data & AI in context - in their work and lives.

We gather together - virtually and in-person, live and asynchronously - to support each other in advocating for data & AI literacy for everyone.

Frequently Asked Questions

There's no single path to data & AI literacy success - and that's the beauty of our community. Some members log in daily, others weekly. Some dive deep into discussions, others prefer to observe and learn.

Normal here means:

  • Taking 4-8 weeks to complete onboarding (life happens!)
  • Asking basic questions (they're never as basic as you think)
  • Sharing both victories and challenges
  • Participating at your own pace and comfort level
  • Working together with TDL Network members to ideate, build, or test an initiative together

We designed the TDL Network for busy professionals. Meaningful engagement can happen in just 15-30 minutes per week.

That might be:

  • One thoughtful Q&A response
  • Attending a virtual event
  • Completing one weekly onboarding exercise
  • Reading and reacting to a few discussions
  • Messaging a fellow TDL Networker to introduce yourself and/or meet

You can invest more time as you're able, but small, consistent engagement creates real value—for you and others.

💡Pro tip: Set up a 30-minute block on your calendar for the TDL Network. Specifying a day and time to work on the business instead of in the business can make a big difference.

Start with [email protected] for any technical or navigation issues. Within the community, look for members with an "Admin" label. 

You can also post in the Q&A channel with questions. Feeling overwhelmed is normal in the first weeks; by week four you'll be showing others around!

You're exactly who needs this community most. Many of our members are the grassroots advocates for data and/or AI literacy at their organizations. You are the pioneers charting new territory.

The TDL Network provides frameworks, resources, and peer support to help you build the case for a literacy initiative, whether you're starting with a small pilot or dreaming big.

Yes! Please stay! This is one of the main reasons that we created the TDL Network.

Your membership follows YOU, not your employer. Whether you change roles, change companies, or your organization's enterprise membership ends, you maintain your place in this community.

Your contributions, connections, and progress stay with you throughout your career journey. Data & AI literacy advocacy doesn't end with a job change, and neither will this Network.

Look for any of these milestones:

  • You're completing Exercises
  • You've connected with at least one other Networker
  • You're starting to recognize names in discussions
  • You've attended a live event
  • You have earned a badge or two

Remember—progress isn't always linear. Some weeks you'll be highly active, others you'll just observe. Both are valuable forms of participation.
